Web Developer

Newport, South Wales. Competitive salary

We’re on the hunt for a talented Web Developer to join our Digital team and help develop our website and business applications. We’re an established, primarily B2B business at the very start of our digital journey and the successful person will play a huge part in shaping the future of the business.

The Role

  • Build major new functionality on workwearsupermarket.com
  • Build robust integrations between the website and business systems applications to optimise business processes
  • Assist the Digital Director to research new software and grow the digital eco-system of business applications
  • Optimise the websites codebase to ensure its efficient, compliant and blazing fast
  • Build easy-to-use re-usable templates for content creators to use on the website
  • Create and maintain software documentation

The Person

  • PHP (experience using TWIG templating engine)
  • API’s & Web Services
  • Javascript
  • CSS
  • HTML
  • Databases
  • Responsive web development
  • A keen interest and good understanding of UX principles along with an eye for design would be very useful.
  • Commercially astute with an understanding of ecommerce processes and key considerations of transactional websites would be useful.
  • A natural problem-solver and self-starter with ability to manage their own workload.
  • And finally, perhaps most importantly of all, curiosity. Technological innovation stems from a desire to understand problems; asking the right questions, framing the issues and uncovering the solutions. We need someone who is extremely inquisitive, eager to learn and shows initiative.

Marketing Executive

Newport, South Wales. Competitive salary

We’re on the hunt for a creative and enthusiastic Marketing Executive to join our Digital team and help develop the business and promote our website. We’re an established, primarily B2B business at the very start of our digital journey, and the successful person will play a huge part in expanding our digital footprint, driving traffic to our website and growing the business.  

The Role

  • Help develop and implement the marketing strategy and oversee all advertising activies
  • Build brand awareness and customer engagement, running all social media channels
  • Track marketing and SEO performance, analysing data and producing reports
  • Work with suppliers and partners to develop commercial opportunities
  • Produce creative web content, including landing pages, blog posts, infographics and videos
  • Assist the Digital Director with general website maintenance tasks

The Person

  • Digitally savvy all-rounder, able to create a coordinated marketing plan for all sales channels.
  • A good understanding of the basic principles of SEO.
  • Data-driven approach, comfortable using MS Excel / Google Sheets and working with large datasets to analyse performance and inform decisions.
  • Incredibly organised, a very fast-learner and takes ownership of their tasks.
  • An excellent writer – the role will involve creating content for the website.
  • Must have some experience in at least some of the following Google analytics, Tag Manager, Google Search Console, Google Ads, remarketing Email Marketing, Facebook advertising, Instagram advertising, LinkedIn advertising, Content Marketing, A/B testing.
  • Basic HTML, CSS knowledge is essential. Some javascript experience would be an advantage.
  • A keen interest and good understanding of UX principles along with an eye for design would be very useful.
  • Commercially astute with an understanding of ecommerce processes and key considerations of transactional websites would be useful.

Content Writer (Part-Time)

We’re on the hunt for a skilled Content Writer to join our Digital team. We’re an established, primarily B2B business at the very start of our digital journey and the successful person will play a huge part in expanding our digital footprint, attracting traffic to our website and converting leads.

The Role

  • Populate SEO-friendly copy across the website
  • Write product descriptions
  • Produce product-based buying guides
  • Write ad copy for multiple advertising platforms
  • Play a key role in defining brand voice across all sales channels

The Person

  • Excellent written communication. Able to produce concise, compliant, and audience-focused content.
  • Able to produce creative, engaging copy to be used across different media and platforms; from product descriptions, category page content and buying guides to infographics, blog posts and Google / Facebook ads
  • A good understanding of the basic principles of SEO and how to structure content for a web audience.
  • Data-driven approach, comfortable researching and using data to inform content creation decisions.
  • An understanding of the important of tone and how it impacts brand and audience perception.
  • A self-starter with proven ability to manage their own workload.
  • And finally, perhaps above all, curiosity. Effective marketing requires a deep understanding of our customers' wants and needs - we need someone who is extremely inquisitive, eager to learn and shows initiative.
